Magnetic Work Stop
Eliminating the time wasted with unnecessary tasks is an important area of focus for any business, but especially for machine shops. Having to probe a piece of stock every time throughout a run of parts to find G54 wastes time and adds cost. There are many ways around this problem including the use of soft jaws and other creative fixturing, but the size or complexity of the job may not always demand that.
For quick and dirty setups, our magnetic work stop allows you to rapidly and accurately place the stock in the vices for repeated operations. A powerful magnet snaps to body of your vice and a precision ground dowel pin can be adjusted as necessary for the material placement you require. Once the material is in position and the vice has been torqued down, simply pull it out of the machine and stick it to your toolbox or rotate it down and out of the way.
Useful for high density arrangement of vices or other situations where there isn’t room to bolt other (larger) work stops in place.
